Id say its just a Taco issue in general. Ive driven 3 Toyota trucks with manual trannys. Every one of them did this. I dont worry about it. :notsure:

Anyone dealing with a squeaky clutch pedal? Driving me nuts.

Also any fixes for a seatbelt that doesn’t automatically respool?

double clutch down shift for the win! Don’t think I’ve owned a manual that was easy to shift down into 1st without a double clutch down shift.

my clutch on my ‘04 starts squeaking about every 8 months or so. Pb blaster or wd40 (whatever I have handy at the time) up in the spring does the trick. It’s probably originally greased, but I’m not about to try to grease it.

Replace the clutch bushing, spring, and pedal. Your bushing is gone I bet and both the spring and pedal are probably grooved. I've done at least three bushings in my truck (308k) and a couple pedal assemblies. The design kind of sucks but the advantage of that spring is it helps push the pedal to the floor about midway and vice versa. Replacing it with a linear spring sucks as you are constantly fighting a spring at that point. Your leg will get tired fast if you drive in any kind of traffic, unless it's a real light spring.

Regardless of whether it’s synchronized or not, matching the speed of the input to the gear you’re trying to get into will make it easier. Assuming your trans is a r150f since it’s a v6. My r150f is difficult to shift into first without rev matching even though it’s synchronized. When I took my trans apart to replace the input shaft, I cleaned everything and that made it a little easier to shift into 1st, but didn’t get rid of it entirely. Other ones I’ve driven are the same way as are transmissions in a lot of other pickup makes. I think it’s just the nature of the beast, unless I’m misunderstanding your issue.
