want to get new wheels and tires wondering what size options I have w/o problems with brakes, tranny, speedo etc.

If you currently have 15" wheels then practically any 16" or 17" wheel will work. If you speedo is dead on accurate with 31" tires then you'll want to maintain this tire height. 245/75/16 or 265/70/16 would be a good tire choice for a 16" wheel. 245/70/17 or 265/65/17 for a 17" wheel. I hope this helps.
