He said he was getting ready to release covers for the DC2 and DC5 soon. The one on my car is actually for a wrx. I asked him if he had anything for my car several months ago, and we exchanged a lot of emails and dimensions and he said the wrx should fit pretty nicely. And he had the integra font as well, so i said sign me up! Its not 100% perfect fit by the rear spoiler, but its close enough for me! lol i think all in was either $240 or $260 with the duffle bag.

This is an EXCELLENT thread. Reminds of the good ole days of HT and NWP. Makes me miss my 98 GSR Coupe I had. As you can probably guess from my SN I'm a Honda guy. Following this only to relive the "GLORY" days.

    Keep up the great work!

Edit: here’s a pic of my old GSR

Nice, can't go wrong with the black wheel/white teg combo. Thanks for checking out the build thread! I'm really glad I accidentally found my old car, these cars are getting fewer and fewer by the day.

Had this 01 GSR with 140k miles… first manual car I owned beside my motorcycles .I wish I kept it… sold it for $2600… clean title… it had a built in pond in the trunk, every time it rained :anonymous:

My trunk had the same issue until i swapped out the tail light gaskets. Actually, i recently had that issue. Turns out when i was reinstalling interior bits i knocked off the one sunroof tube. Those things let in a ton of water!

Always a fan of milano red, my buddy is currently restoring is j-front milano red dc2.

i'm slacking when it comes to winter work i had planned for the car, house projects are taking precedence at the moment. As well as diagnosing my motorcycle issue so I can get it fixed and listed for sale.

Did get one winter project at least tested. My new car audio setup for 2022. New as in the newest thing in this picture is from 1997 lol.

This thing is pretty cool. As soon as you use any of the phone functions, it automatically mutes the radio function. I would love to get this to somehow work on a bluetooth level with my phone, as in the call send and end buttons at least would work, but i don't know how feasible that would be. I doubt I could get such a connectivity with the dial pad, this kind of electrical modifications are over my head. So, it will just be a show piece for now and display "No Svc" lol

Funny enough. I just went back to my oem radio. Just using a cassette to aux adapter now. Makes the entire look alot cleaner overall.

That would be super cool to make work again. Wonder if someone on this website could work out how to make it work.

I was watching a CRXSeth youtube video, and the method he used is close i think to what i want to do. The fact that this phone unit already automatically mutes the stereo when it's in use, i feel like that is a step ahead so far. Here is the video i'm referring to:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atq8To7VPCQ

I would also have to get the guts to open up the phone unit lol, i wish i had a spare one of these around.

I tried to dig into the factory car phone to see if it was labeled like the factory radios. I was exploring to see how feasible it would be to try and add a blue tooth unit to the factory board. Unfortunately, because it is made by Motorola, no such labeling exists.

So that was disappointing. Another disappointing thing I found out was this:
I had some extra money set aside and I thought, I've been looking at a set of these pedals. I should order them. No dice because no one likes manual transmissions anymore...

I've been looking at them as well. I have my eye on a couple of auctions on ebay for some used S2000 pedal sets. That company that discontinued the MT pedals still sells new rubber inserts. So I might just pick up a few new rubber inserts, usually those are trashed on the used pedals.

I'll be honest that idea has never crossed mind. I've known theyre the same pedals but never thought of that

Crossed another thing off my to do list this winter during my lunch break yesterday.

did a compression test on the motor to make sure its still healthy. I'm pleased with the results, there is about 150K miles on this motor now.
