Think more "OG Honda" type of purchase.

Long term you sayo_O I like where this is going

Make me feel like a bad DC4 owner. I havent seen the car in a few months. Battery died and I just haven't felt like dealing with it. Been busy with my rsx for the last year or so getting it in a stable shape

lol i figure i've had this car in my possession for 14 or 15 years at this point (not consecutively), i think i can call this my long term toy now.

but yeah, interim upgrade coming soon while i try to track down parts for the longterm upgrade. It will basically make this car everything i wanted it to be back when i was 20 and wishing it was in the readers ride section of sport compact car magazine lol.

That was actually one of the items i always had wanted but could never track down or scrape together the money to buy it. I got lucky and found this one reasonably priced on ebay not long after i bought the car back.

I had one on my 95 Civic Si. My bro still has one on his 94 Civic EX. Had it since around 96 or 97. Part of the paint came off when it was removed for a motor installation. He was guessing the bar flexed back into shape after being under tension for so long, resulting in the paint chipping off.

That makes sense. i was honestly surprised at how hard it was to install, getting all of the mounting points to line up. It must provide a good bit of tension.

Well, the deal fell through. But, i'm keeping an eye out for a complete jackson racing supercharger kit for the car. Not to be installed in the near future, still have some supporting pieces to buy, but they're getting scarce and the prices keep going up. May as well get a good kit now if I can for a reasonable price.

There's a company that has adapted Magnuson tvs superchargers to k series with intercooler bricks as well. Curious if they make b series ones.

I had a skunk2 intake manifold setup i was going to install on the car, but I think the Skunk2 items will be up for sale shortly so i can start to buy the supporting pieces for my latest acquisition.

Keeping with the period correct goodness...

The price was more than right, it was down right cheap for how complete it is. I had to drive to Cleveland to get it but that's only about a 2.5 hr drive. This will probably be a winter 2023 install, i want to take my time and really go over it and then get all of the other goodies to make it work right and reliably on the car.

Speaking of reliability. Do they make anything in the way of intercooling for them?

They do, LHT started up with their blower modifications again. But i had several back and forth messages with John from LHT. He said at the low boost pulley which seems to be between 6-7 psi, no intercooling is necessary. once get get 8 or higher, the IAT's start to really climb and thats when you need it. I plan on staying on the low boost setting. Just enough power to get me in trouble if i want, but i'm mainly interested in that instant low end torque boost. and of course the sound, definitely in it for the sound too lol.
