    Hey everyone,

My 1996 SR5 was purchased in June of 2018 with a spritely age of 225K miles. (what a pretty smile even with buck teeth)

Good ole' 31' inch tires with stock springs and leafs!

With my first official mod, I painted the stock 15's black. Painting it black gives it a 1' inch lift.

The truck felt a little slow, so I added 100 horsepower to the back of the truck...... For some reason, it was still slow... Oh well....

With my pseudo lift, it was time to actually lift the truck. I ended up going with Bilstein 5100 all around with OME 881 coils.

Then I experimented with adding a cool ARB bumper, a 20-inch lightbar from Amazon, and a 9K badlands winch. Let's just say I will revisit the suspension topic.... And yeah, I know my bumper stops are upside down, I did it for aerodynamics, if you couldn't tell.

Next was tires and rims. Ditched the 15 inch stocks and got a set of 3rd gen Tacoma OR rims with 260/70/16 tires. Pretty much the entire stock set up for a 3rd gen taco.

I got bored and decided I needed more lights in my life. So I added some Hella 500's and converted them to HID's

Well, I realized my OME 881 coils were struggling with the weight up front so I decided to get OME Nitrochargers w/ 883 spring and Dakar Leaf springs. While I was down there I also did the Wheelers S/S lines and Tundra brake upgrade with Brembo rotors. Sorry, no real cool pictures of the install. I did also forget to mention that I needed to do the OME diff drop and 3 degree shims from ToyTec.

Well, since i have a 2.5-3 inch lift. Might as well slap some KO2's right? Also needed some 1.25 SpiderTrax wheel spacers to clear the UCA.

While I was on the computer recently, I fell asleep on top of my keyboard and magically ordered a crap ton of rigid lights!? Never doing that again.... 20 inch Radiance Amber light bar, SRM ditch lights with CBI ditch mounts.

With all these damn lights, I had to do something about the wiring. So I got a Switchpro-9100 and fabbed up my own mount for it. Unfortunately, the wiring is still a little bit sloppy and I need to figure out a better wire management plan.

ARB bumper looked lonlely being the only huge metal thing on the truck. So I got it some friends. AP 80 inch rock sliders.

I was on my computer again... Bad idea.... And I bought an oversized puzzle for my Tacoma. NWTI rear bumper with wrap protection. This thing was a bit of a pain to put together...

Took some time, but we got it assembled and painted and mounted on the truck! FYI - POR15 still on my body after 2 weeks......

Oh, of course, I had to buy another set of rigid lights.

Still have plans to do more to this build. Ill update this as I go

Nice truck! I found this thread trying to find someone with a similar setup and the stance on that suspension and tires is perfect. Can you share your tire size? Also did you remove any leafs from the OME leaf pack? Ive got some Dakar CS019R leaf packs waiting to be installed. Any other updates over the past 4 years with your truck?
