1996 Taco, what should I do about my headlights?

    That sounds like the harness from the ultimate upgrade. If you're going to bother with a harness, that's the one to get. Even if you have stock bulbs, you should see a slight increase in brightness since you're getting voltage directly from the battery and it uses larger gauge wiring. If you get brighter bulbs (like the Osrams from the ultimate upgrade), this harness is a must.

    Hardest part was mounting the relays (which wasn't hard at all). Here's where I put mine (top of pic): Just beware there are two grounding types, but the ultimate upgrade thread describes how to test which you have so you order the right parts.

    Do you mind posting a link to that site/product? I couldn't find it earlier when searching for it for the OP. I'll be doing this when I get around to it, as well.

    Yeah, I'll see if I can find it. It's kinda buried because the "ultimate upgrade" thread was originally for 2nd gens, but another user did an offshoot for the 1st gens.

    Edit: It's not as buried as I thought, lol.

    If I remember correctly, this was it. It looks like a one man operation, so getting help with it should be really good. I'm guessing the one for the 4Runner would be the one you need but I would email him first and let him know all the details of your truck.
