1996 tacoma stock alarm system help

    Hey so my dad has a tacoma that hasn't had any problems but one night my he was pulling out of the driveway and the alarm just started going off he got maybe a little bit down the hill and then it died. Anyone know how to reset it?? It wont start

    I don’t think the Tacoma had a factory alarm in 1996. The RS3200 VIP Toyota system was introduced in 2001.

    Does the key have the Toyota logo on it?

    The key did have a Toyota logo and it was in the manual that it had one but not how to reset it
