FIXED Well, I must admit I'm not a LICKY GUY

Ok the first thing to know I'm a retired electronics tech, and a C-band satellite installer repair guy I screwed myself the whole problem was a missing voltage going to the igniter Sadly I had to pay a mech to find that issue

When I removed the connector which was the very first thing I did the voltages checked out BUT I DID NOT SHAKE THE CABLE AND WHEN I PUT THE CONNECTOR BACK ON IT WENT TO OPEN BROKEN WIRE AGAIN

    NEVER BUY SPECTRA PREMIUM DIST
THE FIRST ONE THE CAP WOULD NOT EVEN CLOSE THE ROTOR STUCK UP TO HIGH
THE NEXT ONE MADE THE TRUCK RUN POOR
I WENT BACK TO my old DIST
Now I got a broken cable to the CAM sensor it broke when I went to check it

    Dalandser and DrZ like this.

Thanks, Gary. I'm glad you figured it out. Sorry about the CAM sensor

Do you mean the crank sensor?

The cam sensor is built into the distributor on 1996 model year with distributors (the 4-cylinders). There was a separate cam sensor mounted in the middle of the head when Toyota went to coil packs a year or two later.
