Hey I know there are dozens of posts on this, but I can't find any for a truck like mine. I don't have the "pwr outlet" relay to use a jumper on like most posts say. I only have one cigarette lighter and no 12v accessory plugs. The cigarette lighter doesn't work, so I am about to replace it, but would like constant power to be able to charge phones . Any advice? I can post pics later if helpful.

    Several ways to do this.
Easiest if you are nervous is to run a hot lead from the (+) battery to your new plug with an inline 10A fuse and #12 wire. (At 6 feet it’s only about 2% loss). Be sure the fuse is near the battery end. Ground the plug to body.

Again many other ways to do this but I assume you want a simple but effective solution.

If you need more than 10Amps you need to put more thought into all this. Happy to help.

Yes. Do you have a volt meter? If so there are hot terminals you can tap. In my build thread I have lots of examples including accessory fuse boxes, isolating branches and dc to dc charger’s that might give you ideas.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Direct from the battery fused for the current a good ground connect.

the less connections you have the less places for a failure.

I installed many after mark sockets.

Just get a USB socket if your only charging your phone
