Nice rig glws. You might think it's crazy but I bought a Land cruiser for a AZTW member that I have never met and is currently overseas. He asked, I volunteered and now it sits in the garage till he gets back on April 15 . It's going to be a nice rig when he is done with it and it's Australia's #1 outback vehicle.

Bump from a fellow FZJ80 owner.

My 97 has 263k on the original motor and head gasket and has done round trips to SLC (9 hours one way) and Moab (7 hours one way) from Colorado Springs the past 2 weeks and never skipped a beat. Like others pointed out, this isnt a new era disposable vehicle, these vehicles were engineered and built to transcend the toughest conditions around the world.

If there was ever a vehicle I would keep under a cover in my garage, that would be it.

 

Mine doesnt sleep outside unless we've taken it out camping/wheeling.

 

If I keep it, the next thing will be a slee or arb rear bumper/Tire carrier.
