Hello, Ive got a 1997 Toyota Tacoma that the driver side door does not shut fully. It will “half-click” but not fully shut.
I’ve been looking for replacement latches and it is surprisingly difficult to find one for a 97 tacoma.
The only 1997 ones I can find are OEM ($165). But I see the ones for 1998-2004 for $70ish. I just want to know if they are interchangeable at all or if I am stuck going with OEM? I’ve read that they might be different, but I’ve only heard for power locks. Mine has manual locks. Not sure if that changes anything

Im in the same boat. Did you find out if the 98 is compatible with the 97 door system?
