Would power mirrors from a '98 4 runner bolt up to my '97 Tacoma doors? It looks like the top of the 4runner door mount bracket is flat on top as opposed to the Tacoma's, which comes to a point but, is that the only difference? If not these '98 mirrors, do any other fit? Thank you!

They will bolt right on. These are 2003 tacoma mirrors on my 99 4runner.

Most 2001-2004 mirrors will also bolt up, they're power.

Did 95-2000 come with power windows optionally? Would the wiring be there inside the door?

I have a 95 with power windows, but no power mirrors, might be a nice upgrade...

I have had both doors on my 2000 PreRunner ExtraCab completely opened up and I have never seen wiring that might power the mirrors.

My PreRunner (and I assume the 4WDs) came with "swing away" mirrors, I assume to allow flexibility in narrow off road places, such as slot canyons and dense vegetation. The "swing away" mirrors can only be adjusted from outside the cab by, for example, reaching out the open window. I was able to replace them with the "solid" mirrors that can be adjusted by a lever from inside the cab.

    Power mirrors? I wish!

1995-2000 Limited trucks had a very rare power mirror option, but power mirrors weren’t common until 2001-2004.

I added 2004 power mirrors to my truck when I converted from crank windows and manual locks using the 2004 door harness and my own control system. The power mirror system is easy, 3 wires to each mirror and power.

If @BartMaster1234 said it, the matter is settled!

BTW, define "Limited". I have seen that applied to pre-2000 Tacomas, but what does it distinguish? Can a Tacoma be both "SR5" and "Limited"?:confused:

This is a 97 limited (random pic off the Internet)
It has chrome power mirrors and that specific decal. Inside it has power everything. Limited sport bucket seats and I believe they all came with a sunroof.

Yup, that's it. I've only ever seen one or two in person they're so uncommon. Conversely, he 2001-2004 limited trucks were a dime a dozen.
