I'm looking to change out my seats specifically to get more headroom, do you remember if the seats you got gave you significantly more?

Also, did you haul the trailer with the Jag using the taco? What was the total weight of that?

 

Yes, these seat will give you at least 2-3”extra room, these seats have less padding in the seat then the 4 runner seats.
No, just my trailer double axle,

I did have my drivers side left bolster lowered after the 1st year so I don’t drag my butt over it,
Other wise very happy

 

Haltech 2000 Stand alone is my next step, just put in my order yesterday, will arrive in 6 weeks.

 

Any plans for the new ECU?

I just got my truck and it has 223k miles on it so I think I'm going to replace all the fluids. I know you recommend Redline MT-90 for the transmission and I think I saw honda wiper fluid you also recommend. Any other specific fluids that you recommend over the manual's recommendations?

 

The new ECU will give me perfect AFR numbers going forward for the supercharger

Do the front, rear, Tcase and transmission oils.
Also make sure the rear axle breather valve is clean and working.
The brake flush will help the braking power too

 

dumb question but by front and rear you mean front and rear diff right?

 

Yes,
The front diff plugs use an Allen head that tend to strip out,

These are Lexus replacement ones that I got for my front diff fill and drain that have a bolt head on them

 

My next mod for the supercharger is a stand alone haltech 2000 ECU with a plug and play harness that takes less then an hour to install.
It’s been ordered and in 6 weeks out because of back order it will arrive.

 

How long do the batteries last on the camera given it's wireless?

 

3-4 months you have to get the really good long lasting batteries,
Takes 15 seconds to replace them

 

Crossed the 667,000 mile marker and added a black grill and cleaned her up today

Running a 5 speed with 4:10 rear, 15” rims, 31” tires
Just got a 3” MAF intake section to replace the stock 2.5” intake section for when the new ECU arrives.
The new Haltech ECU doesn’t use a MAF.

Just finished reading all 27 pages from this rig. Came here because of a reliable half a million+ mile 5vz motor thats boosted. My 99 4runner is also running a 3rd gen MP62 blower, I'm also running a MAPECU3 piggy back with a stock pulley. Near 0 elevation though. Thank you for all the information and a legendary rig.

 

Thanks, the Haltech is a game changer and the sliver bullet for tuning the supercharger,
Perfect tune, perfect AFR at all times, more power. Wish I had known about it earlier.
Power comes on at 2000 rpms instead of 3500 because there is no closed loop to deal with anymore,
Running a dual map, one with methonal for summer and another one for winter without.
Added a AEM 50-1220 fuel pump 340lph that gives me all the fuel I need
