When you swapped the motor did you have to replace your ECU?

 

Nope, ECU IS NOT NEEDED to be changed on any of the swaps unless you want a supercharger and the
1995-1996 ECU will need to be changed, they are not compatible with the supercharger those two years

I talked to Alicia and Wade at The High Speed Lab yesterday. I brought up your supercharger. She told me she uses your ruck as an example of longevity. She knew exactly who I was talking about right away.

They're super super nice. I sent my supercharger in last month and got an estimate but nothing after that. Turns out Wade slipped on a wet piece of wood and broke the ball part of his upper humerus bone off. Luckily the muscle of his should kept everything in place so no surgery needed. He's just getting back to work.

 

a new TW member just popped up in the Chicago area with 625k miles on his 02 PreRunner

 

Painted the inside headlight reflectors and the chrome bezel piece today to coverup the chrome with flat black paint.

boots look crisp & clean, were there any noticeable tears in the old ones?
was it the first time you ever changed them?

 

There were lots of spider type cracks from age, no tears tho on the old set.
This is the 2nd time I’ve replaced the boots in 620,000 miles
and upper ball joints 1st time.

Probably a scam. I see these trucks for sale all the time on CL for a few thousand in great condition. “Evelyn” has enough sense to write a detailed description of a vehicle but isn’t bright enough to sell it for 10k more.

a ToyotaTech mechanic (indie shop here) told me today when I popped into their place that I had just missed an uber clean '96 white V6 reg cab (a bit over 200k miles)
its a recent transplant from Colorado to my city (not sure why but thats what he said)
he had no more details but I am going to see if i spot him on the roads here and flag him down if i do!

If you have air in your system
If their is an exhaust leak in your system
If their is oil in your system from head gasket
If your low on coolant
If your system is dirty
A screen that will caught dirt from the cast iron block
