Most kits are coming with the vc50 which is the one I have. Look at post #226.

John, I have noticed a few things since my methanol kit install. I noticed the oil got darker after only 2k. I smelled it and it doesn't seem like its gas. Usually I change my oil every 5k and it still looks clear brown. I'll be installing a oil catch can soon. We'll see what happens. Does not burn a drop of oilo_O

You won't need a boost gauge. It's all in there

Hmmm I have not seen any different, heat will change the color of the oil but not sure why yours is different.
Yea I now find out the porting actually has eliminated the sound muffler holes in the supercharger and less back pressure with the air flowing less restrictive so it’s probably 1/3 louder. With it ported it has better response and spools up fast and doesn’t seem to bog down at higher rpms, keeps pulling harder.
Before it would level out at the higher rpm range now it wants more gas.

Not uncommon with boosted engines to see the oil go dark sooner than on other setups, more exhaust gasses getting into the oil I think is the main culprit. It happens to me too, I do a full synthetic oil change on my 3.4 every ~4k miles to keep it fresh. I noticed it happening more after I installed the 7th injector on my kit, the oil getting dark more quickly.

Did you recently change oil brands/types? Some oils have more additives in them which can turn the oil dark more quickly

I'm probably going to replace my boost guage with a dual guage this coming year, don't want 2 guages on the pillar if possible.

PLX also has similar set up. On my s/c reg cab I was using their DM6 gauge with a boost module and an AFR module in a single pod. You can run up to 32 modules to a single gauge. They also make a bluetooth module that you can run them to your smartphone as well and display them that way too.
I'm selling the PLX combo I was using if any of you guys are interested.
    Here's how it looked installed:

Dyno Done today, Supercharger belt was slipping again, time for a new pulley again.
So will keep an eye on the boost and timing numbers going up and get a new pulley.

The porting of the supercharger has given the truck a nice extra kick. 18 more horses or so

Boost is about the same at 10 pounds maybe a bit lower showing that more air is going through with
    the added power.

Horse power and torque numbers are both up by 18 or so.

Horse power and Torque numbers starts off at 10LB-FT higher than before porting at 2500 rpms.

Horse power was pretty much at a straight line 45 degrees up the graph before porting.

Now there is an extra power jump at 4000rpm on up on top of the added 10 horses from the start.

So it is worth it? Absolutely but probably not unless your doing a rebuild on your supercharger.

Wade the owner, the price at thehighspeedlab.com is 295.00 for the inlet and outlet porting.

    Advantages are
    lower heat build up
    More air flow
    More advanced timing
All adding to more power and should help in the summer heat too.

I had to get it retuned because of the added airflow with the methonal and
moved up to the number 3 nozzle from the number 2 nozzel for added fuel.

Each trucks results will probably be a bit different depending on elevation and
    engine setup

Nice! That sounds like some positive results. That porting job definitely seems to be worth it.
    Nice work John!

Now that it’s opened up for air flow I’m going to have a 1.8” pulley made for the supercharger.

The dyno speed shop said because I’m at 6000 feet with thinner air a 1.8” pulley is very doable
and should get 2 more pounds of boost.

Cross my fingers and placed my order for the 1.8” pulley today

Damn that’s going to be crazy. The bearings are able to handle spinning that fast?
