I just bought a hard copy of Factory Electrical for 95.5 - 96 model from ebay. It doesn't change that much. What circuit do you need? I can take a picture for you.

I have the 95.5-96 diagrams. They are changes between each year. I would really like to find a 97 Tacoma diagram. Specifically the 3.4.

Could I get you to shoot me a photo of the clock wiring diagram.

    There are 4 wires,
One is positive, maybe a switch, maybe Constant,
    One negative
    One dimmer headlight
    4th? Positive, constant or switch?

    1) green/red wire on the harness is illumination
2)grey/red wire is positive, acc power or constant power?
    3)yellow/black wire negative
    4) ? Blue and white?.
    5) is this 12 volts at the clock?

I want to put a different gauge in that spot and use the clock wires

    Thanks in advance

Hey, if you’ve still got those diagrams, could you send a photo of the engine coolant temperature sensor diagram? I can’t tell where the wire goes from the sensor.
    Thanks!

Thanks a ton! It shows my ECT as -40C to 86C intermittent, so hopefully I’ll be able to track the issue down soon!

That's a intermitted contact. -40C it is "circuit open". Could be the connector to the sensor or cracked wire or sensor itself. Just guessing.

Another request for a pic from that lovely looking book of diagrams: the radio/audio. All the info I've been looking at is in table form. Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out where rear speakers would mount! There's nowhere near enough room anywhere back there for 6" speakers. 3", maybe. Mine didn't come with them, so maybe the area is plated off? Any ideas on where to put a subwoofer?

The radio connection diagram sucks as it does not show everything like it should. There are additional wires connected to the radio responsible for illumination (backlight the radio panel via rheostat/dimmer) that is shown only on the illumination diagram. I am attaching both.

    1995 Tacoma Radio.jpg

As you can see rear speakers have its own connector, and thy have separate wires in harness. The bad thing is that if the truck came from the factory with front speakers only, there will be no wires for rear speakers just the connector (read below). You have to come up with your own wires. I think plastic side panels in the rear cab are also different (with speakers they have a speaker grille, without speaker they have pockets).

The illumination wires are in the main radio connector pin 10 (positive 12V) and rear speakers connector pin 5 (regulated ground).

    1995 Tacoma Radio illumination.jpg

By the way the original Tacoma radio (without cassette player) does not support rear speakers, but still has the "rear speakers connector" that is used just for illumination regulated ground. As for aftermarket radios, most of cheap radios do not have dimmed illumination controlled by the dimmer in the truck, so illumination wires are not needed for it.

I hope that clears a little the confusion about the radio.

    Welcome to the forum!

If no one has one for you it might take some time.

You can purchase what need and Down load from All Data

It has been some time you could buy 24 or 48 hour access and down load as much as you want.
