I wanted to share with everyone who may or may not run into this issue with the throttle position sensor harness replacement. I was having problems with the harness shorting out more than likely due to its age and the wires being bent in that position for so long. I figured I would just fix it myself and add a few pics along the way. I first disconnected the battery so there is no power on anything. I then proceeded to disconnect the wiring harness that plugs into the TPS sensor. I then paid attention to what color wire is in which order on the older harness. I then tied the wires together and used a soldering iron to join the wires. Once cool I used the heat gun to heat shrink the wires so no moisture can get to the joined joints. This took me maybe 1 hour or so and all in all wasn't too bad and fixed the issue I had with the harness.

That’s the new 4 pin harness installed and turned out nicely.
