1997 Toyta Tacoma Ext cab

I’m testing the waters here to see about selling my 1997 Toyota Tacoma Ext cab.....


This truck has been an absolute joy to own and never left me stranded. It currently has 238k miles on it but has essentially be overhauled and I just returned back from a 3500 miles trip all the way down into Baja Mexico and it was a treat on the highway as well as on the rugged terrain. The only reason I’m looking to potential sell is I just picked up a 2019 4 runner and I’d like to build that rig up and there is no need for 2 overland rigs. The truck is currently located in Memphis TN .

I'm probably missing a few items but all in all the truck has been rebuilt on the top end and doesn’t burn a lick of oil and runs strong with zero hesitation to drive it 3500 miles into another country lol. This rig is legit ready to hope in and enjoy. No work needed.

Yes I did. it was my boys out there. I bought it about 1.5 years ago and essentially overhauled and added everything to it other then the bumper and roof rack.

‘Essentially been overhauled’ in what way? I don’t see listings of major engine work.

 

perhaps overhauled isn't the correct word. I had a shop in ATX fix/replace the following items within the last 5k miles:

camshaft cam seals
intake manifold gasket
both valve cover gaskets
Both belts
Water pump/housing/gasket
internal timing belt


I changed out:

alternator
radiator
spark plugs
