I noticed the plastic piping has worn through on the driver's side seat back. I guess it's because of all the sliding I do when getting in. No camera available. Here's what to do to see it:

Open the driver's door and look at the side of the seat back that's facing you.

You'll see the piping. It runs up the side edge of the seat starting at the rear bottom. From there it goes up and around the top of the seat edge, and from there it runs back down the front edge of the seat back.

About 2 inches of the fabric is worn out and pretty soon the plastic rod that's inside the piping will pull away.

Short of recovering the seat with a new seat cover, is there something I can do, short of not driving the truck (;)) to fix this so it doesn't wear any more?

I have an OEM seat cover in gray if you want to replace yours. It covers the foam and metal skeleton.

Although it looks like you have a Limited, and the fabric is different on that trim level.

Or be extra like me and swap in powered leather Lexus seats, haha.

    Thanks for your ideas.

Yeah, I thought so. No fix here. Don't know if I want to pop for an entirely new seat cover. Probably $200 per seat plus $100 to install it. Guess the piping is doing its job by extending the life of the cover itself. :(
