1998+ Interior (Dashboard, Ac,) Swap to 1996 Tacoma

I’m looking for a complete dash, door panels for my taco 1996... I’m looking to swap the dashboard completely from a 1998+ taco... Has anyone had ever done this swap? Do you know if it will fit?

As far as I know the sheet metal of the trucks didn’t change but I have never looked into it. Chances are it would fit.
Why are you thinking of changing your interior? Trashed original or something you like better about the 98/2000?

 

The prior owner was an old man that tried to fix everything with screws, almost everything has been screwed on the truck interior.

i tried to repair it but as far as I go disassembling it, I found wire, wood, fiber glass, etc.

so I would like to swap everything and start fresh.

i was asking if it would fit on my 1996 because I will have more chances to find parts opening the year range

 

Cool, a buddy of mine swapped the interior of an 88 into an 84 with no issues that I heard of, added the a/c as well. You probably could look at 01 to 04 as well, the only difference I know of is the hood and fenders. Wiring might different but just use your original stuff. good luck.
