My Tacoma is jerking when Im in 4th or 5th when I am lightly accelerating to the point it looks like I'm dry heaving in the seat. If I stomp on it it doesn't jerk. I had a TPS code come up a few months ago so I replaced it with one off rockauto. Every once in a while it'll come back on. I've cleaned throttle body MAF sensor replaced the fuel filter spark plugs and wires. Y'all got any ideas of what else it could be causing the jerking?

I had a similar problem a few years ago; however the jerking occurred in any gear. I replaced the MAF and that solved it. It also solved the hard warm starting issue that occurred on hot days. I'm pretty sure that a code pop up though showing a MAF fault.

Didn't realize it but One of the screws backed out on the TPS tightened it up and it stopped jerking but I still have the code coming on. Waiting on a new one from O'Reilly's hopefully that'll solve it
