    Update:

Redline MT-90 seems to have gotten rid of all of symptoms.

Royal Purple sucks. Even though it says it's fine for GL-4 and GL-5 applications and won't do harm to the synchros... it was terrible gear oil for my transmission. While I don't think it hurt my synchros I just don't think its viscosity is what it needs to be. Even when warm, shifting felt really bad. When cold it was a disaster.

As of the drive home from my friend's shop, the Redline MT-90 is vastly superior. When fully warm, it shifts like butter. I'll see what it's like tomorrow morning when really cold.

What is the fluid capacity for the transmission?
My tranny is getting kind of notchy. Thinking of trying this RL MT-90

I think a dry fill it says 3.1 quarts.

Mine took just under 3 quarts to fill.

I'm glad to hear the mt-90 took care of your issues. It has always worked great for me too.

    Yeah. Unbelievable difference.

Granted this morning hasn't been as cold as the past few. But the difference in cold shifting is vast. With Royal Purple I couldn't even get it into first, second, or reverse before the gear oil warmed up enough. Even then it would be a terrible feeling shift.

This morning, it shifted like butter again.

Definitely only using MT-90 from now on in the tranny.

    Thanks for the recommendation.
