Those are actually 35’s in the front and 33’s in the back hahah but that’s the plan! Just need trans and transfer case. Then I can get it to move since all it takes to make it run is a battery to crank it over and some fuel and that’s it hahah

Well no pictures yet. But sold the house and in the middle of moving the t19 trans that was in the truck literally fell out. The 4 bolts I had hand tight holding the trans to to bellhousing broke along with the 4 straps holding it up. As soon as I moved it like 6 inches, it hit the ground... good thing I wasn’t planning on Using that trans anyways:frusty:
I’ll post pictures of it’s new storage home soon as I can get done moving.

Side note I built shock hoops but not sure if they will work.
    But hey it’s progress.....:benchpress:

Should have a first start video in the next week or so.
Haven’t worked on the truck much.
Bought a side by side and been taking it on vacations to get some fun relaxation for once rather then working so much.

But it’s time to get back on the taco so updated and more progress to come!!

Well still isn’t running yet. Decided to go alittle different route on turbo location. And work is still insane.
But on a lighter note. Literally..
thanks to everyone on here and all the knowledge. Got the truck powered up again. All the lights work, stereo, climate control, wipers and everything!

Question, what could oil dripping out of an exhaust manifold no turbo attached indicate is wrong with an old turbo diesel motor

probably valve guides are bad. But could be many other possibilities

That and headgasket are the only 2 explanations for liquid oil out the cylinder

I’d highly doubt the head gasket is putting oil into the exhaust ports. Id pull the manifold off and look at your valves. what engine you talking about?

Truck is powered up. Time to start cutting out wiring I don’t need and wiring the engine to chassis! Using dual group 31 optima’s to power everything.

Any ideas on good ideas on reasonably priced gauges? Need to start building my cluster too while I’m wiring.

also got my new adapter plate for the engine to accept a nv4500 nv5600 or g56. Still on the hunt for a trans but think I found a g56 with issues for a nice price.

    more to come...

Finally found a transmission at a decent price. Sadly it’s blown up... and only has 5th gear which is direct.
luckily all the internals are ok besides 1 bearing.
downside is it needs a front case as I suspected which can be pretty spendy.
Even buying a front case, bearing kit and seals is still 2000+ cheaper then a rebuilt one.
Soon as I find a case I’ll be putting it back together but in the mean time I’ll be mocking up the trans and start building a crossmember. 506ED6E7-00CE-42A0-94C0-3C8722373F73.jpg D4D2414B-5D01-4CCE-A5CC-66E14B2086D5.jpg 88DCC1CC-6272-40B5-BCA6-4580528EFA4F.jpg
