Quick background, friend has his 98 2wd auto transmission rebuilt. Truck runs and shifts great now. The only "issue" is when he moves the gear selector the lights light up for each gear except "D". The truck will go into gear and drive fine just no green light. Is there a bulb for each one or is this a deeper problem? I can take apart the dash and get the cluster out but if not needed I'd like not to go that route. Any help or tips are appreciated.

    The 2000 diagrams show -

If you are talking about the dash?
Then yes, my diagram shows P,R,N,2,L each have a separate bulb.
They all look to share the same path to ground.

If I were to guess, I would say it’s the bulb.

Here is a - How to on getting to them

This is the best I can do for the sizes. Although, I’m not 100% certain they were the same for all years?
