Man you’re so right.. I never really planned to do much to it besides a little lift and rims but I might take everyone’s advice and not do anything to it besides the rims and new headlights and turn signal lights. I like the way it looks now with the ko2 it came with. Is a leveling kit too much? Or should I just leave the suspension stock?. Also should I even take it muddling or off road? Haha yesterday I tried the 4x4 on an actual decently steep hill. I couldn’t get my rear locker engaged and followed the manual.

After getting the TRD wheels, still keep the other ones. You never know.

Here’s what it will look like with 16” TRD wheels.

They were on it when I bought it so I don’t know if they are original or not. Your truck is freakin’ gorgeous, I wouldn’t change a thing

I can't help but think though that this "new truck high" your riding will wear off, and your gonna wanna dump that thing for cheap and never look back.
Let me know when that happens. I'm here for you man. :spy: I'd even let you break even on the sale.

Thanks for the correction! Bought the truck from the daughter of the original owner who had passed away. She didn’t know much about the truck’s history and all I’ve had to go on are the dozens of receipts he kept in the glovebox from day one. Nothing in there about aftermarket wheels so I had no idea where they came from.

Does the receipt stack look anything like this? :fistbump:

Pretty much. I went through it and layed it all chronologically, tossed about 80% of the stack that were from 15 years of oil changes every 4 months whether they were needed or not. There was only 600 mile difference between some of them.

If you still own the 300k plus miles truck, you could always part it out, or try to sell it, and recoup some of your money. There's a ton of cash to be made parting out a tacoma. Everyone is always looking for parts. Nice looking truck. I'm keeping my 03 DC pretty much stock, except for newer Old Man suspension later this year.

I ended up selling it for cheap, lost 4k from for it but I’ll probably just end up doing a fresh oem suspension or similar on my current 98!
