1998 TRD, 3 Broken Sway Bar Links

    For some reason I've broken three sway bar links in the last 15 months. First the right one, then the left one, then the right one again. I only heard the first one let loose with a bang. The other two I didn't notice until the truck began to sway on the interstate.

    In each case the bar broke off flush with the bottom of the top nut. I don't do any heavy off-roading, but I do have Energy Suspension polyurethane cushions installed at the links. (I went back to stock sway bar mount cushions after breaking the second link.)

    So what might be the problem - crummy links? These are Raybestos links, professional grade.

    Look at the package, most like made in China like their shocks and other suspension products.

    Most people disconnect them anyhow, any reason you're wanting to leave it connected?
