We picked up this LX470 on May 24th. We needed a good reliable rig that was comfortable. We weren't really looking for another vehicle when this LX fell in our laps but I am glad it did. 150k miles, zero rust, 2.5" OME and all the required maintenance done in the last 5k miles.

I told my fiancé I wouldn't mod it but that wasn't entirely true. That said, this will be a mild build and it won't be anytime soon (the reg cab is a money pit). I'll be adding a roof rack and a fly rod holder fairly soon but that's about it. The rest will be mods to protect the interior. This build will largely document the adventures we take with the occasional upgrade/maintenance post.

I'll add more later but here's some initial pics.

And of course, a mandatory picture all the puppies and the fiancé.

Anyways, feel free to BS!.

To be fair, we sold our 1991 80 series before moving to Idaho and have been heart broken since. We love the LX but we will always miss Bruiser.

I can't wait to get another FJ80. Just gotta let the "new truck, we are broke" feeling wear off the gal haha.

Finally pulled the jump seats and put in the cargo mat today. I remember weather tech being a bit "beefier" than this. Fits good though!

 Hey guys! Can't wait to explore something worth sharing. I haven't calculated the mpg yet. That means I can tell myself I am getting that 16 mpg. Heck, lets make it 18 mpg and feel even better about driving it to work.

Got the rest of the floor mats. Wish I went with tan, but I was drunk when I ordered. The past is the past. Still not sure on seat covers. I was set on wet okole until I read they would be hot in the summer.

Loaded the truck with the pups at 8 am and set out to make the most of our morning. Man I love living here. Ran the dogs a few miles along side the cruiser and then parked and walked around for a bit.

I have a Sony A6000. I also use my iPhone a lot. Just depends on the day and if I charged the battery on the Sony.

Developed a squeak on the LX470. I figured it was the ujoints but dropped it off at the mechanic today for a second opinion since my garage is still full of boxes from moving. He confirmed it was the rear ujoint. Guess it's time to break out the wrenches and clean up the garage.
