Hello all. I have a 99 prerunner 2.7 ext cab. I default tires on my truck are 265/75r15. I just learned that this is now a rare tire....not sure if any of you have experienced this.

I was told that a 31/1050r15 would also fit? Would this 31 tire have any issues with rubbing? Would this size fit my stock rim of 15x7? I'm not sure throughout the years when the tire sizes changed to this 31 number. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks guys!

I am a stock build with no lift mods. Forgot to ask....what is the 31 and the 1050 size represent? Im assuming the r15 is the rim size? thanks

31s will fit fine with your stock suspension. Tacomas came stock with 31s. Also they will fit your stock wheels just fine

265/75/15 is not rare. just not as common as standard sizes.

    31 will fit fine.

    31x10.5x15

total diamater, width of tire, inner diamater ie wheel size.

    265/75/15

265 is width of tire in mm, 75 is height of sidewall % based on width, and the 15 is inner diamater.

Stock as Stock can be with duratracs and a roof rack
Hey I don't mean to be a dick but that was a question that would of been easily found by searching google "decoding tire size"

There is a search function here that you can use for super easy questions.

When you have thoroughly searched on here and google and still don't have answers to your question then its probably a good time to start a thread.
