Not surprising. Calculate the COM of a full tank of gas. Or go in reverse and see what a 1/2" of deflection would require and you will see.

Where were these measurements taken from? For example, mine is 38" from the ground to the inside top of fender.

My 2003 is currently in the shop while I am out of the country for a week.
I have a 1/2" enhancer for the driver's side and a 1/4" for the passenger.
I'm sure that will remove the lean.

Ok then it's the 882's that are 1 inch taller. Those will give a firmer ride as I understand, but are well suited for a heavier truck. Report back on the prerunner weight difference, I'm interested!

Not sure I know what you mean about this. Weight difference from side to side?

Mine were taken from center of hub to bottom of fender

The Tacoma lean is largely because of the gas tank on the driver's side, no?
Well, as you already know, if you calculate the weight of the gas and its approximate placement relative to center of the truck you can arrive at your moment. Not sure how new springs change the moment so that you do not have more deflection in the taco lean.

I see. Looks like I need to research this more to fully understand the cause. I would imagine the weight of the driver plays a role as well…

I got the truck aligned today at the local shop. It looks pretty good and drives straight. The tech confirmed my suspicion that the rack and pinion bushings are hammered.

Does anyone know a good polyurethane set I could order online? they quoted me 45 for the set at the shop and I think I'll just go with that unless I can find one for way less. I need to find a "how to" thread on replacing the bushings as well…

    BTW
Did you check for play in your steering rack?
Play will cause a shimmy in your steering ass'y when you hit bumps.
It can develop after a lot of miles and bumps...

Our Toys have a replaceable guide that is designed to take up the slack in the steering rack.
    It can go bad.
Read these to get a better understanding: http://www.yotatech.com/f2/how-replace-steering-rack-guide-pictures-215931/

yes there is at least a half inch of play in the bushing where the rack bolts to the crossmember of the frame. probably on others as well.

Great info! Its good to know there is a lifetime warranty on some of the parts in the rack and pinion. I will be sure to check out the other parts as well, but I'll start with the rack bushings that I ordered and go from there

Heres a couple better pics of the truck:

    Update:

just wanted to post an update on the suspension. The truck handles nice and corners really well. I finally had a chance to rally it the other day and it did great. I took some nice mellow whoops at about 40 which was really fun, and did some nice hill climbs on some rock trails. I was really surprised how well the truck did, especially in 4 Lo. Overall really happy with the truck.

I finally installed the polyurethane bushings on the steering rack and noticed a pretty good improvement. It tightened up the steering and improved the loose feeling when going over bumps at 40+ and turning slightly. Overall well worth the 20$ price tag at wheelers. It surprises me that the factory uses those rubber ones at all…

Hey man, just wondering if you are still running this set up how you like it after a couple years and how has it held up?

I love it, given the truck is my dd I got something that is reliable, but fun to mess around with on the weekend. The front has sagged a little now that the springs are broken in, so Im due to take it in for an alignment soon. I know this because the insides of the front tires jist recently started wearing faster. Good setup though. I may do an add a leaf in the rear just to stiffen up the rear for towing, but it performs well as is.

Good to hear. How much do you think it has sagged? and over how long? It still rides nice?

How much lift do you think it would achieve without the spacers?

Also did you do a diff drop or have any problem with cv boots?

Thanks for the feedback, great to hear a long term test of this set up.
