Bilstein 5100's in rear, Bilstein TRD's in front, 2.5" Toytec spacers, 2.5" Toytec shackles, ProComp add-a-leaf kit, Addco rear sway bar, Poly bushings on practically everything, 285/70/17 BFGoodrich KM2's, Level 8 MK6 wheels, Custom catback exhaust, Various exterior stuff... Of course, more to come...
Code P0402 came up on my Tacoma after 199k miles... Versus repairing the EGR system, I've decided to do a delete! I've read almost every thread out there on almost every form and did it exactly how they say it should be done:

Make or purchase block plates, Cap off the vaccuum lines, and place a 10k ohm 1/4watt resistor in place of the temp sensor...

My CEL has not turned off, the truck runs better, but has been consuming more fuel since the delete! What did I do wrong? Or am I missing something?

Did you happen to reset the ECU or otherwise clear the code? If so, try a 7.5 K resistor.

You removed the EGR system

    Yeah, good sense. :D

The computer controls everything (including the EGR, fuel injection, ignition timing, etc) and uses the output of a dozen sensors to determine what it does every millisecond, to maximize power and minimize fuel consumption. My guess, it that is now reacting to erroneous data and sending the wrong signals to the injectors and igniters.
