1999 tacoma bed search

As all may know by now my beautiful 1999 regular cab was hit in the back today. I now need replace the whole bed. I was wondering if someone has or know of someone selling a non rust bed. I live in NY. Willing to travel somewhat.

Read through your accident thread. That's rough. I'd recommend searching on https://www.car-part.com/ for any 6 foot beds in your area. Color won't matter since you'll get it painted. Maybe put in zip codes or areas of the country you have family near outside of the salt belt. Sometimes yards will post pictures but most don't. They just put a part grade of A, B, C so you can sift through the A and B ones.

 

I’d be willing to part with mine but I’m in Las Vegas so that’s a lot of travel

 

Get on Facebook Marketplace. I see a white one in myerstown, pa for $550.00 with no rust. Might be worth the trip from New York.

 

Soooo.... how bad is the bed? And what are you doing with it? If you’re scrapping it, let me know where you are. I need a piece of the floor and wheel well to replace a rotted portion on mine. Either side will do- I can just flip it to fit. If you’re willing.

Hi, I spoke to the guy myerstown, pa. It does look good.That one of a few Im looking at. Im trying to figure out how to transport in home. I have a 4x8 trailer. I looked at Uhaul but there trailers are smaller in the bed area.

 

Double check with U-Haul. One of the local Uhaul rental places by my shop has 6x12 open trailers which would work perfect for the bed.

 

I’m located in SC and have a bed I’d sell. There’s some damage to the passenger side rear quarter panel, but I think it could be fixed. I bought the truck with it like that, not sure what happened to it. Let me know if you’re interested

Went to Conn. 2 1/2 hours one way and it was horrible.

 

I dont see anything local thats decent right now. I remember looking at the damage in another one of your posts. Out of curiosity did it damage more then the bedside? Bedsides can still be had from the dealer if thats all the damage was.

 

The whole quarter into the deck is crushed.the bed is twisted and the tailgate is jammed into the deck. Its a mess.

 

I have time. I actually found one. the rust around the wheel well is minimum.
