1999 Tacoma with 2.7L engine

When is the last time Tacoma made a 2.7L engine, 5 speed manual with mechanical locking Hubs?
I am always asked to sell in perfect condition this 1999 standard cab truck. Currently has 155,602 miles. Also, is there any special 2.7L engines that were made by Toyota? Thanks for any info.

 

no such thing as a special 2.7L - you had that or the V6. As far as hubs, they were much more common on older trucks (my 84 XtraCab had em) but they did offer them on Tacos until 2000. The later models like yours were stripped down versions, so if you had manual hubs, chances are it was basic model with no bells/whistles.
