I took off the skid plate on my 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4WD TRD a while back and seem to be missing some of the bolts. I have the three for the front near the radiator, but am missing the 2 bolts that go in the middle and the 2 bolts that go on the back portion of the skid plate. Anyone happen to know the sizes of the bolts or where to find the info?

    Thanks!

On my 2004 they were m8-1.25. I believe 20 or 25mm long. Should be able to buy at any hardware store.

I found this on a previous thread. It was listed as the right size. @mechanicjon would know for sure. That's where I got that E Bay link from.

12mm long is a little short though. I'd be looking for 15mm to 24mm

All the bolts should be the same, take one of the other bolts and go to ace hardware to get them matched up and get all new stainless steel ones that don't rust.

If the bolts are missing I venture the threads are ruined and you will have your work cut out OP.

Were they held on with cable ties and duct tape?

Lots of 4runner guys had those holes strip out in the crossmember. I had to chase the threads in one of the cross member holes just to get the bolt to grab anything and I don’t snug it down more than a smidge because it’s got 6 other bolts holding it in my setup.
