This truck was available near by, and a family member bought it. 155k miles on the clock.

I told said family member to inspect the frame for any rust/rust repairs before buying.........

It appears someone did some welding at some point at the bed support section. The cab/engine area of the frame appears to be solid. Have not done the hammer test yet.

How bad is it on the bed/rear axle area???? The worst spot that I can find is on the passenger side of the bed support where the leaf spring mount is...

    Thanks for your input.

Its got a torn CV axle boot. Rear shackle mounts look sus. That hole at the forward spring mount under the bed mount should probably be repaired. Candidate for safe-t-cap? If you're in GA, continued rust shouldn't be an issue if you can clean up whats there and have solid metal.

Yes, it's in GA. I noticed the CV axle boot as well.

I think its a tie rod boot that is torn. And that frame definitely needs some attention.

You’re gonna need to go through the whole undercarriage with a hammer and poke around. This truck looks very suspect
