Didn’t get to wheel with anyone this year but I’ll share a few pics. Had some friends from another club I’m in come down and it was their first time so we went out just the two rigs. Covered most of the park.
Broke a front axle coming up one of the climbs on Tombstone on Friday, then got a log through the sidewall coming up 16 on Saturday. Considering I’ve been wheeling over 15 years, its the first tire I’ve wrecked beyond repairs.
Gone through 5 axles since last takeover. Might be time to start working on the FJ80 axle I have for it.

Pretty sure that’s just a garter snake. I did see the tail end of what I think was a rat snake down on Beavercreek

I ran the far end a few years ago and ran the near end last year. First time I’ve ran it all together. Pretty fun trail, not many line choices as there’s always one rock that has to be in the middle of the trail sticking up.

I saw a few people heading down J from the tower rd. How bad is it now? Last year I was leaning on the passenger headrest while pretty much laying it on its side to squeeze through.

I almost always run 9-10 psi at Rausch anymore. Tire psi is a weird thing, I'm on 35's with a 12ish" wide tire on a 7.5" width rim and I get great conformity without risking bead blowing and still not lowering the height of the truck too much. But I have seen second gen's with the same tires and size buldging as much as I do on 10 psi as them at 15 psi because of the extra weight they are carrying.

Nah, pretty unlikely to see anything poisonous.

But I did see a really pissed off* black rat snake.

*He didn't like being grabbed by the tail and pulled back to show Ragnar.

The gatekeeper on J was tight and off-camber. We got everyone but the top-heavy rigs through without issue. Overland style, top heavy didn't really have a choice about tipping into the roots.

We went down to shoot the moon since it was on my hit list, but it's changed so much that I didn't even attempt it. Would have dented a door or the cab for sure. I did get a video of John doing it though:

Ouch, I saw that when we were heading by when it looked like the rest of the group was going to head down.
