Hello I have a 1996 tacoma 2wd. Cut off while driving last week. I have spent days working on it with little progress. When its cold it will start up and run fine for about 15 mins. Then it cuts off. If I unplugg the maf it will start up and drive. Replaced the maf sensor, same problem. Checked for vacuum leaks, checked fuel pressure, cam and crank sensor, distributor, basically everything that I have tried hasnt helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the distributors on these have a tendency to act this way. Unfortunatly these are notoriously difficult to verify and most people replace the distributor out of frustration. I am not a load the parts cannon advocate but at some point you have to "replace with known good unit" as the repair manuals say...

Glamis - is that distributor the same thing as the "igniter" (Still used to my Ford 4.9 Inline 6!)
