1GR-FE 2.0” drive pulley on TRD supercharger

This is an interesting thread to say the least. About time someone pushes the envelope. There are a few people who pushed close to 20,000 rpms on the first gen TRD blowers. Lots of water/meth to cool it down. Who knows from the mustang community... Someone should dyno 2.5 and less on the quick change pulley and get real data

I am using a fair amount of meth right now, I have 375ml/min at the moment and will be going to 475 this morning as a matter of fact; then I will be adding a second stage that will kick in at higher RPMs, adding an additional 175ml/min. Apparently 375ml/min is for 500whp, so maybe that's what I'm making now? Lol.

I also have an intercooler capacity upgrade and the 7th injector. And it doesn't even get that warm here. Good thing water/meth is cheap.

Not sure why people don't post in performance and tuning. I just posted here because I thought I would reach more people. But, it's a good point that the target audience could be there rather than here.

 

I may be the only other guy running meth.

Well, since you offered, I just increased injection from 375ml/min to 475ml/min. I haven't noticed any issues, it's just an on-off system. I'm going to install a second stage that kicks in at high rpm. I haven't noticed a detriment at low rpm/partially closed throttle.... but how much do you think would be too much, especially at low rpm?

When you feel the motor bogging I'd say. It should come on about 2500rpm. Snow performance has a dual stage controller. That's what I use. I think you could really benefit from it. Dials to turn up or down at will.

 

That's the system I just bought actually. Plan was to install it as the 'second stage' to come on at 3000rpm or so, supplementing the on/off system. Just waiting for my 2nd nozzle kit to arrive now.

 

I see. It's a dual stage. So you'll have three tiers of meth. Wow!
