    If you're a slow driver, why are you concerned with the engine performance?

    Also, you sound impressed with the engine performance, so I don't understand the problem fully. It actually sounds like you're the ideal driver for the 3.5 x six speed, okay taking it easier in higher gears.

    If you don't like the car upshifting so much, drive in S5 or use ECT to pretend you have fewer gears.

    The 1GR-FE was adequate back around 2010; it's woefully out of place now.
