    Hi all,

I know my 2000 Tacoma like the back of my hand, but am just getting to know my wife's 2006 1GR-FE 4x4. She got it a year and a half ago and it now has around 127K on it. We got it about as cheap as you can find a 2nd gen Double Cab, but I knew going into it all that it would need some work as the PO family was hard on it and had no maintenance history.

    So far, I've replaced:
-carrier bearing and u-joints (one u-joint found a way to replace the needle bearings with red dust. Cool trick!)
-front wheel bearings with nj636's kit.
-F/R brake pads w/ slotted front rotors
-oil and oil/air/cabin filters (a few times now)
    -gear boxes flushed

It's time for the motor to get some love. I'm thinking:
-water pump (losing coolant from somewhere) w/ coolant flush
    -spark plugs
    -fuel filter
    -accessory belts

Am I missing anything while I'm in there? Thanks!

    Yeah that ^^

Fuel filter is in the tank and I hear you have to replace the whole sending unit to actually replace it. So good luck with that. There are aftermarket options to get separate sending unit and filters.

    And that VV

Do the fuel pump upgrade kit from URD. www.urdusa.com. It makes the fuel system where the filter can be replaced easily and it is an external filter. Only about $150. Much cheaper than the OEM replacement of about $500.
