I have finished my personal break-in procedure and just hit 1k miles. I don’t drive nearly as much as I used to, it took me a few months. Motor also received its first Cera Tec treatment. I already noticed slight improvement in MPG, but the biggest difference I immediately felt is the improved idle. We all know this engine does not have the smoothest idle, amazing the difference a high quality friction modifier makes. Love this stuff and I have been using it for years now on many different platforms.

It’s not particularly fast and it has its quirks but it does what it is made for exceptionally well. Perfect size for my needs. Here’s to another 300k miles, lol.

Cold start this morning, sounding nice and quiet.

Sounds nice, and normal when new. Seems when you get over 10k miles, they sound a little more diesel like.

Far from it. It’s a ceramic based modifier that binds to the metal. Very well respected, particularly in the European market. I suggest you check out the reviews. Liqui Moly makes some of the best additives and oil on the market.

that's interesting. for whatever reason, mine is much quieter after miles were put on. i have about 24K miles and i am actually surprised how much quieter it is than when new. it just purrs and i park next to a metal building.

when i first brought it home there was some serious knocking i thought the bottom was going to drop out of it. never heard anything like it from a new low mileage engine and it's still hard to imagine that was normal.

My 3.5 has always been pretty quiet also, especially idling. I've been asked at times with others riding with me when stopped at a traffic light if my truck is still running, or did it stall. Maybe I'm getting to notice more engine sounds that I've had it over 3 1/2 years, but I swear mine as gotten slightly more diesel like.
