I don't know. I can't decide if I want to work in the food and hospitality industry since that's what I'm going to school for, or if I just want to get a job at an electronics store like Best Buy.

 

^^ mmm i guess that can work out very good, i mean, you will work the rest of your life as a chef, why not work in something else in the meantime?

 

That's a good point. I may have to get a really laid back job like in a used record store. Or maybe I could panhandle on the street corner. I'd get a lot of fresh air, I could really work on my people skills, and maybe learn to dance!

 

ON the other hand, working on a restaurant will add to your resume when you finish school... damn decisions.... LOL

Here's what I'm thinking:

My last 6 months are made up of a class called "Restaurant" and an externship in a restaurant outside of school that I still get class credit for.

I think those should prepare me. But like you said...getting a job in the industry would give me a better resumé...so many tough decisions...

 

well.... maybe you can start with something like best buy, and while in it decide if you are better off on a restaurant

 

And earn you some tips.
