Just went up there with the parents 'cause they wanted to. We were goin' to go to a bunch of musems and stuff, but never got around to it. Mainly went around to the restaraunts and ate.

I did, but that didn't work. Oh well. There was a volleyball tourney near my hotel in Manhattan Beach while we were there. Saw some nice ass. So I can't say I regretted going.

Got t-boned by an 88 year old who hit the gas instead of the brake at a stop sign. I then slid sideways into a curb, missing a light pole by six inches and almost rolling over.

But heh, on the topic of old people drivers (and for other TW members, the area Derek and I live in is FULL of them):

I was at church with the family one day, sittin' in the back next to the wall. Behind that wall is the parking lot. (You can probably see where this is going.) We get up, walk out to the back of the church where our car is parked just in time to see this old guy in a car floor it straight through the wall of the church (damn near where we were sittin', too!) instead of putting his car in reverse. It coulda been us on the otherside of that wall.
