We stopped by this rock outcropping on the way down, and I got these sweet panoramas:f12f3ae4c2b8c61e7b652d9b7a5f0561_22092fe74942ae0e98bb0fed758934caee03f6f2.jpge57066f10724bc7357e1b1089bc55837_a8ad8e52744c8f5b229accbf6fa594245a4b559e.jpg

Yeah, great time out there today. It was awesome to meet some new members and families! Taking Huston on his first trip was great! He never really fussed in the truck, and slept the whole way home :D. Loved seeing all the little ones enjoying the woods. And that SAS 4runner :drool::drool: (Jerry, yours is alright too, I guess )

And it's not decked out yet, but our scrawny little Charlie Brown tree fills out its space nicely. I hope we have enough decorations...

Nice budman, glad to hear the little guy did ok in the truck. He was surely a well behaved little man :) we are gonna do the decorating tomorrow, but I'll play:

Sorry I had to cut out early, I had a mini mud slide at the house to deal with. Toughest driving all day was getting up my driveway! Here's a group pic I got. Should have the tree decorated tomorrow and will post. Great to meet everyone, Merry Christmas!

Home safe and sound! Epic day all around, thanks to all who attended. Such a great turnout, and an awesome time! Johnboy and Budman, you two might be the only ones with trees that actually fit inside the house! I just dragged mine into the yard, and it's above the second story on the house! Jason just texted me literally the same thing. Taller than the roof! Oops... They looked so little out in the wild :)

For all of you who headed home early, we had a pretty eventful 2nd half of the trip. We got pulled over by the rangers (well, Steve, the guy in the Jeep did, go figure :). But no ticket, just couldn't see the tree permit.

We did some fun wheeling, met a herd of Elk, forged through a hood-high puddle (well, Chris did...)

And then it top it all off, Jason managed to get stuck on a STEEP slick, sticky, peanut butter muddy hill climb. We spent about an hour getting him out, epic recovery including max trax, winch and snatch block, and a chainsaw :anonymous:

No pics on my end, but Chris documented the whole affair, so we'll have to wait for his record.

Thanks again everyone for coming, great trip, and we'll do it again next year. Pics to follow.
