    When I first started posting on TW about 2-3/4 years ago, there wasn't much going on in Kentucky. The lions share of activity was Everett and Brent, both more active with Tennessee than Ky because that's all there was....A few Kentuckians doing limited off roading, but nothing organized. We had a couple conversations on here, then a more in depth conversation face to face between Everett and me when we met up to get a skid plate he had for me. It's taken a while, but by including Southern Ohio, a few from Indiana, all the Kentuckians we could muster, a few more from Tennessee, and now we're picking up Missouri, the Carolina's, and points beyond. What gives me hope this will stay active is the number of you younger guys getting involved. Kentucky is 4-wheel friendly at the moment. It's up to all of us to keep this momentum, stay "friendly" towards newbies, and build for the future. When I first got started in the hobby, Indiana was a hot spot for off roading. By trashing riding areas and being poor representatives for the hobby, it pretty much dried up along about the late '90's. This isn't a God given right. We have to be stewards of the land and show appreciation for what we have.

    Be an advocate of the hobby every chance we get. It's in all of our best interest's.

    The Ohio wheeling thread is all but dead. The nati one isn't much better. That being said, there are a half dozen or so of us from the nati area that wheel quite a bit, mainly with the central ky guys and some clown from eastern coal country.

    Very first meet I went to was a Cincy/N KY meet. A fella named Neil. Wasn't really offroading, was driving around fields on this fellas land. Another member, much more hardcore, NoMods (nick) got on the cases of a lot of folks around then, cause Ohio OR scene is nonexistent. Did couple more meets, day things, know Jeremy/MossyTaco from wheeling once or twice with him. Honestly forget my first TN meet, but it was all grand, they actually wheeled and let me do my thing.

    Haha I still have that same problem.

    And I did. I damn near can't do back to back trips because I usually need to work on my truck in between them. Like most people, it's also not the only thing I do in life so I need a few months break in between big trips. Harlan is at least a 4 day trip with 2 travel days for me. AOP is only 4.5 hrs from me but has proven to be a destructive place so any time I go there, my truck needs to be in as good of shape as it can be and needs some recovery time afterwards. Haha I've reached the point where my build stage combined with my wheeling style means more money spent on maintenance then "new parts".
