Hello, I recently bought a '95 Tacoma 4x4 with an erratic stutter/miss that I've read is common with aftermarket distributors. I didn't realize it had an aftermarket distributor in it when I bought it, and have asked the previous owner if he kept the original, he said he tossed it. He also mentioned that it ran fine for 25k with this distributor in it.
Has anyone found a good alternative to a factory distributor for a 2.7? I searched for a week about a month ago and didn't come up with the answer I was looking for. I know a lot of folks are buying used Denso off of the auction site and refurbing with new coil and internal parts. Has anyone tried a factory Toyota coil in an aftermarket distributor with any success? Will it even fit?
    Thanks for any help.

Would imagine there has to be a standard...
The aftermarket coil must fit a standard oem distributor, you would think...

Buy a coil, if it doesnt fit, return...
If it doesnt fit, "it wasnt installed"
