1st gen 2003 single cab tacoma, SHOCKS

The girlfriend has an 03 single cab 2.4L 4cylinder 5speed taco. The shocks are gone and I want to replace them but I don't know of a good replacement shock for that model; I wanted bilstein 5100's but I think they only come in the prerunner versions.
Whats a good replacement shock for that truck besides blowing a grand and doing c/o's. I'd like to see some better options before just replacing with OEM parts.

But I would say to just go with bilsteins man. They are a great shock.

ah right on thanks man. Bilstein is what I would stick with also, she doesn't offroad but i'm gonna get 235/75r15 tires so the billys will handle these much better and the truck being so small and light these will be more than enough.

 

i'll give him a call again, bought my bilstein 5100's for my 09 off that guy. cheap!

bilstein 5100's from downsouthmotorsports.....................awesome customer service and they are a vendor here.

you can leave the fronts at stock height, and they still ride tons better than regular bilsteins.

 

True, but do they fit the single cab 4cylinder 5 lugs?
