I was joking. Though I'd have to disagree, id say, at least around here it's more tall/average height guys who. I don't see many tall buff dudes getting out if unlifted trucks, for a truck you need no more ground clearance then a civic, why buy a pre runner or any truck unless you need it for work. Maybe just like the way it looks and you've got a big dick.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
After having my 04 for 3 days now, there is a clear winner right here. 1st gens are superior than 2nd gens in almost every way. If it weren't for the frame rust, they'd be perfect. The build quality and the throttle response is so much better than my 2011 was. I loved my 2011, it was a great truck, but I don't regret the switch at all, first genner for life! Wont have it any other way. I don't need anything bigger, I have a 1997 Ford Powerstroke if I need to haul something large anyway.

You aren't being serious I hope? Colorados are pieces of shit, I'd rather have a Ranger or Dakota before I'd take one of those things haha.

I figured it was sarcasm lol, thanks for clarifying. But on a side note, there seems to be a lot of Colorado fans here which is not right ha.

Same here, my wife's mother has a 2007 Dodge Dakota and it isn't awful. Still wouldn't trade my Tacoma for one though.

"There’s only one thing on TV that’s tougher than Chuck Norris, and that’s the 1988 Toyota Hilux that proved indestructible after torture testing by the lads at “Top Gear.” They drove it down a flight of steps, imploded a building around it, crashed it into a tree, dunked it in the ocean, drove it through a garden shed, hit it with a wrecking ball and set it on fire – and after that, it still ran. For that, we salute the Toyota Hilux as our Top TV Truck."

I think they also tried stuffing a Colorado up its tail pipe to try to destroy it, but it just farted it right out.

Does your truck have frame rust? If so was it sprayed? If you don't know take it to a dealership, and they'll tell ya :D

A little flaky surface rust but it seems solid, gonna check it out tomorrow.

Might still be worth it to run it to a Toyota dealership and see if you can potentially get a new frame.

Yup, mines currently getting a new frame. Should be done tonight or tomorrow. You have until 2019 to do yours, as it expires 15 years after the truck was made.

Montana isn't bad, at least where I live they don't use salt on the roads. But, I think my truck came from one of those places. The body is in excellent shape though which is what iI don't get. The rust of the frame isn't bad, it's just flaky but feels solid to the touch. Going to get it checked out though.

Yeah, it never hurts to get it checked. My body has a bit of rust under the doors, which I'm fixing myself soon.

Good thing, best to fix it then let it go. And these first gens are definitely worth fixing eh? Best Tacomas ever.

That they are, but they pale in comparison to the Colorado!
