Alright so i knew that CA was smog strict but are you guys serious about the hose colors and the pulley color? How in any way will that affect emissions?? Would you actually have to take em off and go back to stock colors?

    Spelling is haerd...

I meant to type "Ordered" -> I ordered. Not "Order" -> as in a command word forcing or request someone to do a specific task.

Has anyone needed to replace any clamps? Other than the extra 8mm hose, have there been any other issues encountered?

Have there been any issues with reusing stock hose clamps? OP stated he purchased an extra 5 ft of 8mm hose, in addition to the dress up kit. I wanted to make sure that nobody else had run into any little issues or annoyances.

i did have one of the clamps that had some black coating on them just flake off when i grabbed it with a needle nose pliers
it was on the canister box that comes from the air filter box across the engine bay, i will have to see how it holds up to humidty weathering, at least that is what i think the coating was for :notsure:
    ...not finished with this yet

The clamps are definitely a struggle to reuse in some spots. But a little bit of grease and persuasion seems to get the job done.

Cool deal. I was considering picking up a few aircraft hose clamps, just to have insurance.

I had a few that were a little to small once I put the new hoses in. I had a variety pack of clamps from HF that I used in that case. Having a few different sized clamps on hand wouldn’t be a bad idea

not every hose needs a clamp ... or do they with the silicone ones?

I used all 3 sizes at least once, but I think the 8mm ended up being a good portion of it.

I did have a Toyota tech tell me all the hoses were the wrong size, but I highly doubt he pulled any of them and actually measured. They are a little beefier than the OEM hoses, so I'm guessing he just saw them assumed I threw on a bunch of random hoses.

The link is broken and maybe I missed it but what sizes exactly?

I think my 04 with the S/C really only runs the 8mm. The only other hose I can think of is the fuel pressure reg hose.

Also anyone know how important is it that you run the exact same size as OEM? 5/16 is just a tad smaller and it looks like local parts stores carry it.

i remember having trouble with the really long one that goes across the whole way to the air filter box, but you may not have that one?
the hose was a pain to get on there, very tight, was worse than the radiator hose, (not included in hose kit)
and had an even harder time pulling it off both ends when I found that was not the biggest hose included in the whole box

I bought VAC000591 and 5ft extra of the 8mm. I used most of the 4mm for my windshield washer lines and I think a one of the evap lines was a 6mm. 8mm was definitely the majority

So I had spare clamps as some of the 8mm was just a bit loose...
And some of the areas next to evap are SUPER tight to get your fingers/tools in to loosen things up.

I replaced 4 hoses so far and all of the old ones were hard and brittle and cracked.
