This thread makes me want to sell my 2nd gen and buy a 1st gen Access cab Coma and build it for mudding! I only like the 1996-1999 b/c the headlights are sick with the 1 piece grille. Awesome first gens overall tho.

Its bit stiffer, but not bone jarring. My 04 w/3" had stock Bilstein TRD struts and was getting a bit squishy. I mainly use my truck for hauling dirtbikes, camping. I live in the dez, but dont do any hard-core stuff. Everytime I even looked @ sand w/my 04, I got stuck. Pismo, Glamis. Getting stuck sucks. This, and my last 3 Tacos were 2WD, but I had 3 4WD Toyotas before. All solid axles; 82,83 and a 85 SR5 I bought new. My 4x's never got stuck :)

my first truck was an 85 single cab 4 cyl with a solid front axe and mine never got stuck too! i mean the heaviest thing on those trucks is the engine.
