1st Gen 95.5-04 White Color Thread - Post Here!

This is the first time I've seen those TRD Pro Wheels on a 1st Gen, that's badass. What size tires and lift are you running and do you have any rub?

 

Put a 2.5 inch lift on shortly after this picture

Great setup on your Tacoma! I was surprised to see you are from Newcastle, Wa. I grew up there until my mid 20's. I should have never moved.

 

I like the way this one looks with the black fenders. Really only ever see lunar mist with color matched fenders.

Newcastle sure has changed in the 5 years I have been there:
Brick factory was torn down, sold the land and new 900 unit development (which the community didn't want but the greedy NC govt wanted the tax benefits)

 

I know what you mean, I moved in 09 and came back to visit a few years later and much had changed. Yeah, the brick factory just north of Safeway & QFC off Coal Creek Pkwy. Hard to believe that is gone now. Seems to be all apartments in town now. I lived up in Olympus neighborhood if you know where that is. Small world

I have a couple of questions n I hope u guys can help me out...first time Tacoma owner.
No stickers, no emblems on my truck....how do I find out what it is? Is it a trd? an rs5?
#2 what's the diff?

Based on your avatar pic it looks like a TRD because of the flares and wheels.

The vin decoder will tell you what options it has. Locker is the TRDs, although someone might have swapped one in from a 4runner with factory switch.
There were 2 SR5 packages available in the 2001 model year, as follows:

you can get a trd offroad package with sr5 also.

This is my kind of thread. Here is my 1993 Natural White pickup with 78,000 miles next to my 2003 Super White Tacoma with 95,000 miles.

 

Looks like you got the sr5 Toyota that was down the road. Looks really clean. I installed your washer fluid reservoir you gave me and no more leaks. Thanks again
